EDUCATION

  • “The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.-Dr. Seuss

    • Education preferences should be decided by the parents for the children (weather that is public or private)

      • Parents will have the ability to decide what education they believe is best for their children. Once older, children will have the ability to involve themselves in the education process

      • Parental decisions will strive to reflect the best interest of the child and their well-being

      • Private and specialized education will be available will be widely accessible for those who need the extra push to get started. Extra funds will be set aside for the students and teachers who work specifically with special education

    • All educators and those who hold education related professions will have equal pay under a system that provides fair compensation

      • It is important to provide fair and equal pay to the educators of our country. They guide students to the path of success, act as role models, and are responsible for the growth that leads to adulthood, so therefore, they should be paid with an increased and fair salary that best reflects their true abilities

    • Public education will be available for EVERYONE no matter their circumstances

      • It has long been evident that the access to education to minority groups is limited. It is my goal to assure that all students and children have access to a fair public education no matter their families income, race, disability, culture, or background

      • Public education will be 100% free and accessible

    • Education beyond a high school diploma with be more accessible for all people, and price should not prevent these opportunities

      • Easier accessibility to colleges and universities regardless of the students financial situation. It is important for me to provide an equal opportunity for students to succeed in the future, and it starts with earning a college degree that is chosen by the student in their believed best interest

      • Money will be set aside for the future starting at birth for all children

      • Federal student aid and loans will be highly accessible at all times so no student has to struggle with debt or financial problems post university and beginning into a career

    • Student and faculty mental health will be the #1 priority at all times

      • With high stress situations that come with high school and its counterparts, the faculty members of all schools will strive to make sure all students are getting the help they need in order to succeed

      • Resources such as private counseling and therapy will be available on demand for all students

      • Seminars and education sessions about mental health will be implemented into all curriculum in an effort to reduce stigma and provide knowledge about the topic for all.

      • I will work with teachers head on to provide curriculum that reduces stress and works well with all students needs

    • Make sure that school lunches should be available to all regardless of economic capabilities.

      • A nourished child leads to a better learning environment for the child. Providing students with healthier food options at breakfast and lunch is a priority and having a healthier lifestyle leads to a healthier learning lifestyle

      • How we would pay for this? A higher tax rate for those in the wealthier tax brackets, using this money to pay for school lunches.
